WIWW... Comfy Edition

Hey Everyone,

The order for today was comfy, so yeah, I ended up wearing a sweatshirt once I got home from work... but don't worry, it still fit in the rules for What I Wore Wednesday over at the Pleated Poppy.

Sweatshirt: Vanity
Tank: Walmart
Jeggings: Kohls
Boots: Wet Seal
Necklace: Dustee's

We have had a huge amount of snow this past week and I have been loving it, but it has also made it quite cool, as you can see in the last picture.  :-P

Have a blessed week!

From Work to Casual... WIWW

Hey Everyone, time for What I Wore Wednesday!

Today you will be getting two outfits instead of one.  I just took a second job as a bridal consultant that I am working in the mornings before teaching piano and art in the afternoons.  As a result, I now have to take my work wardrobe to casual for the afternoons and you are going to get to see one of the ways that I do that this week!  I will once again be linking up with the  Pleated Poppy.

First my work outfit:

Cardigan: Body Central
Tank: Vanity
Slacks: Kohls
Shoes: Shoe Carnival
Necklace: Dustee's
Bracelet: Dustee's

Now for turning my work outfit to something more comfortable and casual for the rest of the day-

Tank and Cardigan are the same as above
Jeans- Debs
Watch- VonMaur
Bracelet- birthday gift several years back  (Sorry the picture is side ways, I flipped it several times but it is refusing to stay.  :-s  )
Shoes- Shoebuy.com

I hope you enjoyed another edition of What I Wore Wednesday!

Blessings,
Michelle

Walk through the Old Testament.... Kenya Part 6

Hey everyone, sorry it has been awhile, but I had such a hard time paring down the pictures this time, the kids are all so amazing and I want to show all of them to you, but I only have limited space.  :-(   I wish I was able to share every single picture with you, even the blurry ones, because they all tell part of the story of what happened in Kenya, I also wish I had pictures or videos of some things I didn't think to take pictures of that I wish I could show you.  Better yet, I wish I could just take all of my blog readers back with me and just let all of you see it for yourselves, there is something so amazing about experiencing  it that I cannot put into words.

After home visits on our first day of VBS we went to an Ethiopian restaurant where we had traditional Ethiopian cuisine.   Here are a few pics from that evening, it was so much fun because the apprentices, Glen, and Justine and her husband Ryan (some of the missionaries) were able to join us!

The next day we had VBS again at Mabatini and this day the theme was the Old Testament.  Because the kids would be hearing many stories from the Old Testament we decided to have the draw what they thought a king's house would look like to represent the house King David lived in.   The kids were all so creative and did so great, below are some pictures of them from that day.  :-)

After doing VBS in the morning we split up into the same groups again to do home visits that afternoon.  This day Zach had come with our team to help out Jake and Aubrey in the music center and he was placed in the same group I was in along with Dad, Bryan and Anita like before.  Home visits were so amazing this day, we now knew what to expect and were so much more prepared.  It was also cool how God had placed Zach with us this day as he and Bryan were really able to witness to two men we visited this day.  I also was able to witness to a lady and lead her to Christ!  That was one of the greatest experiences on this trip, knowing that God used me to lead someone to Him!!!
We were also able to encourage several Christians in their faith and encourage them to continue reading the Bible and praying daily so as to grow in their faith.

Just as the day before we once again collected a large group of kids that followed us throughout the valley.  All of the kids were just so sweet and we all greatly enjoyed them.

I hope to do another update soon.  Also, if anyone is interested in sponsoring one of these precious children, CMF  (Christian Missionary Fellowship)  now has it set up on their website where you can choose your own sponsor child!  Many of these children are needing sponsored,  Missions of Hope has added many more children to the schools since we were there in November and they are in need of sponsors!  If this is something you would be interested in, here is the link to their website: https://give.cmfi.org/sponsor.aspx

Michelle
