In the afternoon of our second day in Nashville we headed back to the hotel to get ready. Six people getting ready in one hotel room with only one bathroom can take awhile. :P We did manage to get ready in time though and were excited to head to the church to meet Karen Kingsbury and get to see Anthem Lights again! Here are some pictures of us in the hotel room all ready for the concert.

We arrived early, like we always do, and were thankful that we were allowed to wait inside the building since it was quite hot outside that day. When we got inside we were excited to see Chad, from Anthem Lights, setting up their table! After talking with him for awhile we saw Kyle and his soon-to-be-mother-in-law Karen Kingsbury! Kyle was really nice and introduced us to Karen. This was the first of many highlights of the night for me since I have been longing to meet Karen for years. Karen also introduced us to her daughter Kelsey (who is engaged to Kyle) who is the inspiration for the Bailey Flanigan series.
Shortly after all of this we got in line to buy our merchandise at Karen's table. I was so excited to get a lot of the books in the Baxter family series since I have been trying to collect the whole series. My sisters and I have it worked out that first we are going to collect all of her books between us, but we each want our own individual collections for when we live on our own someday.
We were excited to have front row seats and loved listening to Karen speak. I love how she can just capture your attention and keep it and how what she speaks of is applicable to real life. I could have listened to her speak all night, but sadly her part of the concert was over all too fast. Thankfully Anthem Lights was next, whom we all love. It was so neat to hear them do a concert by themselves. When they sing it isn't a show like with some of the musicians I have seen, they are truly worshiping God and He just shines through them! As with Karen, their part of the evening came to an end all too fast. Why couldn't it have been a week long event?!?!?!
When everything was over we kind of just sat in our seats letting everything sink in while everyone else was leaving. After awhile, we went over to meet Karen's husband, Don. I knew he must be a wonderful guy since Karen had married him, but I now really like him just for him, not because of his wife. We had so much fun just talking with him and getting to know him. He was so great and signed one of our books for us and then took this picture with us. :)

After talking with Don we went out to the foyer area and got to see Kelsey again. She is such an encouragement to me and I greatly look up to her. She is a wonderful example of what a Godly young woman should be. I am so thankful for how she encourages everyone to wait for God's best and not to settle for anything less.

Once we had talked with Kelsey for awhile we went over to see Anthem Lights. We had been to two previous concerts and already knew them. It is so much fun going to their concerts because they are so friendly and it feels like seeing friends. We all had such a wonderful time talking with them, as can be evidenced in these photos:
I don't think I can ever get tired of going to their concerts. I love how Jesus just shines from their eyes and it is so obvious that they are sold out for God. They are some of the most Godly men from my generation I have met. We all had fun taking our picture with them again. Even though we just saw them, we are all already looking forward to when we will get to see them again!

After talking with Anthem Lights we went to see Karen. It was so much fun because when we went over to see her, her husband Don said, "Karen, I want you to meet my friends the.... *insert last name* " Karen told him that we were actually her friends to which he replied, "Oh, we go back, way back.... to the sanctuary!" It made me laugh because it sounds like something our family would say. That is part of what I love about Karen and her family, not only are they sold out for Jesus, they know how to enjoy life! We had so much fun talking with them, just like Anthem Lights, I felt as if I had known them my whole life.

It was so much fun getting to meet and see everyone! Now, to all of you who think this is the end of the series, I still have one or two more posts planned in this series! Come back tomorrow for part 4!
Blessings, Michelle
