Nashville... Part 1

Hey everyone!  I was going to post this yesterday, but life is crazy and after sorting through all of the pictures from Nashville I was pictured out.  I have finally managed to narrow all of the pictures down to around a hundred and fifty.  I fully recognize that is waaaaaaaaaay too many for a post, so I am going to do this in parts!  Welcome to the official part one of my Nashville series!  I am sure you are all wondering what we were doing in Nashville, so I am now going to explain.  My favorite author for years has been Karen Kingsbury.  I love how God shines through her stories unlike any other author I have ever read.  If you are not familiar with her books you should really go check them out at your local book store or library.  A few years back I got my sisters, Christina and Rebekah, to begin reading Karen's books as well and we have all been wishing we could meet her.  We were really excited when we discovered that she was going to be speaking in her hometown of Nashville this past week and Anthem Lights would be doing a full concert there as well!  For those who don't remember Alan, who is holding "The Challenge," is one of the members of Anthem Lights.  They are connected to Karen by Kyle, one of the members of Anthem Lights, who is engaged to Kelsey, Karen Kingsbury's daughter.  By going on this trip, we were able to see our favorite author, her family and our favorite band Anthem Lights!!!  In this post I am going to highlight our first night in Nashville. :)

The drive to Tennessee was very long from where we live, it took the whole day to travel.  Along the way though we enjoyed getting to see the St. Louis arch.  We were even happier though to see the "Welcome to Tennessee" sign.  Almost there!
The Nashville skyline was so beautiful!
Once we were checked into the hotel, Jacqueline and I decided to go swimming.  After a long ride in the car it just feels good to move around, especially in the water.  We ended up swimming for a little over an hour before we headed back to the hotel room to eat some pizza.

After driving the whole day, swimming and pizza we were all quite tired and went to bed for the night.  That was our first day in Nashville.  If I have time later tonight I might put up part two.  If not, be watching for the next view into our trip tomorrow!

Blessings,  Michelle
